“Green” or renewable energy is available.  It’s certainly not the cheapest, but price is slowly turning more competitive in today’s market.  Purchasing a percentage of your annualized load is an option for you.  Even if you don’t buy renewable energy there’s a good chance your provider must buy a percentage of renewable energy based on the provider’s load serviced in Texas or other deregulated states.  So just because you don’t buy “green” doesn’t mean the supplier isn’t buying green…the supplier is mandated by the state.
